Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 2026 Review: Is the Reformulation Better?
A beauty journalist who knows Dior well puts the reformulation to the test.
Dior’s Addict Lip Glow Oil has quietly become one of beauty’s most reliable status symbols. Viral, celebrity-approved, and permanently sold out at its peak, it’s the lip oil that turned “hydrated” into a personality trait. Now, Dior has reformulated the original and expanded the line, and, yes, it remains expensive. The question is whether it’s still worth it.
The short answer: mostly, yes - but only if you choose the right finish.
Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil 2026 Review: What’s Changed?
The updated Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil delivers 24-hour hydration and now comes in three finishes: Juicy, Sparkly, and Glaze, across 16 new shades. The formula is infused with cherry oil, rich in fatty acids and omegas, designed to condition lips while reinforcing the lip barrier.
The finishes are where the update really matters.
Juicy is closest to the original cult favourite, with its sheer, glossy, jelly-like texture and barely pigmented finish. It’s ideal if you loved the first version and want that same glassy finish without shimmer.
Sparkly introduces fine, multidimensional glitter that feels playful without tipping into teenage territory. It’s noticeable, reflective, and surprisingly chic, especially in cooler shades. 086 Minty, in particular, nails the frosted, clean-girl winter look without feeling overdone.
Glaze is the standout. This finish offers the most pigment and the strongest mirror-gloss effect, making it ideal to wear alone or layered over nude lipsticks.
081 Latte in Glaze is the best of the bunch: a true nude pink with enough depth to feel polished, not washed out. It is wearable, versatile, and does exactly what a £33 lip oil should do: make you look put together instantly.
What’s The Packaging Like?
Packaging-wise, Dior hasn’t reinvented itself entirely, but it has refined it. The updated silver Dior Oblique logo is more prominent, aligning the lip oil visually with other Dior staples like the Lip Maximiser and Backstage Glow Stick Blush.
If you spend over £85 online at Dior.com, your Lip Oil arrives with a case, plus a star charm and clip. Undeniably clever when it comes to gifting and collectability.
The Dior Addict Glow Fragrance Edit
Alongside the lip oils, Dior has introduced three new Dior Addict Glow fragrances, tapping into a lighter, fruit-forward direction that feels deliberately Gen Z–coded.
All three come in sleek, translucent bottles that echo Dior’s makeup packaging, chic enough to live permanently on your vanity.
What Do The New Fragrances Smell Like?
Rosy Glow: Soft, fresh, and airy, led by lychee with a subtle rose note. Light, fresh, and universally appealing, it’s the kind of fragrance that suits every age and every setting.
Purple Glow: The boldest of the trio. Berry-forward with strong raspberry notes, softened by Tuscan iris. Playful, confident, and slightly sweeter, perfect if you like your fragrance to be noticed, but not overwhelming.
Peachy Glow (My Favourite) Soft peach layered with vanilla cream and jasmine, this is warm, gentle, and addictive. Not sharp or syrupy, just smooth, comforting, and ideal for spring mornings or summer evenings.
These scents are intentionally lightweight, a departure from Dior’s traditionally intense perfumes, making them ideal for daily wear.
(Prices range from £69–£92, placing them firmly in the luxury gifting bracket).
The verdict? The Dior Addict Lip Glow Oil remains one of the best lip oils on the market, but Glaze is the finish that justifies the hype. As for the fragrances, Peachy Glow is the one to try first.

Solid breakdown of the finish differences - that Glaze vs Juicy distinction is actually helpful for deciding which to try. The point about 081 Latte being instantly polishing makes sense, seems like Dior finally figured out that people want pigment not just shine. I grabbed Minty in Sparkly last week and the frost level is perfct for winter without looking dated. Interesting take on the fragrances too.
Love my 086 Minty lip glow ✨️
