Dua Lipa dropped a new beauty brand and no one noticed. Here’s why we think the launch with Augustinus Bader flopped



Dua Lipa does it all - singing, songwriting, learning three (!) languages and is somehow always on holiday. AND she always looks flawless (partly in thanks to her fab makeup artist Katie Jane Hughes - if you don’t follow her, you should!)
Her latest venture came in a form that we are maybe a little too familiar with - the classic celebrity beauty brand. In 2023, celebrity beauty brands generated over $1 billion - tbh, I don’t blame her for wanting to get on board…
But this celebrity beauty brand launch was a little different and kind of made no noise? I did some digging and quickly found out it’s probably due to the steep pricing. The collection has three products that total £157 - and with Gen Z as their target audience, it’s not really a surprise that no one is adding to cart.
