👄 Where’s my lip balm?
Cos you know, wherever we go, our lip balms go too: they are like our emotional support beauty comforters.
This week, Hayley took Aquaphor Healing Ointment to Ines - a cute little cafe/wine bar in New York’s Upper East Side.

“I grew up riding horses and my hands and lips could never be satiated. The only thing that could ever help me was Aquaphor. Living in New York City it’s constantly in my bag. It’s not a want it’s a need. I am very peculiar about what I choose and this is one that has stayed with me for over two decades. You’ll always find it in my bag!”
Hayley xoxo
& REGULAR #2:
🥁 GOOSEBUMPS
the people, places, things that we are loving this week
✨Gia
The Marie Antoinette exhibition at the V&A.
I walked in as a fashion obsessive and history nerd, but nothing prepared me for the way it blends past and present so effortlessly. The Manolo Blahnik shoes designed for Sofia Coppola’s film (Marie Antoinette 2006) stopped me in my tracks; pale silks, decadent bows, the kind of craftsmanship that makes you exhale without realising you were holding your breath. I’ve been thinking about them for days. I left with the limited V&A exhibition book (and, obviously, another pink coffee-table treasure) because beauty like that deserves to be revisited. If you’re in London, go. You won’t regret it!

Christmas in NYC.
There really is nothing quite like it. Sometimes the holidays can be overwhelming- family, eating, finances; so I try to make sure to celebrate the joy during this time of year. After all, it is the time to celebrate the world around us, and to celebrate another year around the sun. I live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan and every year 73rd street between the avenues lights up with wonder. The lights are draped across every tree in a way of magic that looks like snowflakes. They have officially lit again for the 2025 holiday season and I have to say I just stare in awe at the beauty. Sometimes we forget to stop and smell the roses, appreciate the small beauty around us and I think that’s something everyone needs to remember because (guilty as charged) we all let the stress of every day get to us and miss out on the little things. Life is about living and these little treasures remind me of that!

Christmas in November.
Now my kids are getting older (almost 15 & 20) I never begrudge going in early with the decorations. This week my youngest son insisted on turning the den/basement into a Grotto so we took a trip to Target and Home Depot to get the lights and a blow up Santa (ofc) - came home, listened to Last Christmas by Wham! while I danced and he decorated (in a light up Santa hat). Being a mum is hard work no doubt, but as we are always told, but find hard to believe until it happens, they really do grow up quickly. And times like this are fleeting, and oh so precious.
